In Memory of Armenia

17:30 — 18:15
Edinburgh International Book Festival, Edinburgh

Part of the Amnesty International Imprisoned Writers Series at the Edinburgh International Book Festival.

This year is the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide, discussion of which can lead to imprisonment in Turkey. Amnesty International continues to campaign for freedom of expression, hold governments to account and give voice to those who cannot speak for themselves. Today’s event is chaired by Scottish PEN, with readings by Brenton McKenna, Alison Case, Stewart O’Nan and Moira Young.
