For over 90 years, Scottish PEN has been committed to fostering a dynamic literary culture in Scotland. This is vital for the nation to play its part on the international stage.

Scottish PEN is interested in the current state of defamation law in Scotland and the potential limitations it has on freedom of expression. We are working with the Scottish Law Commission, the NUJ, and other organisations to affect real and lasting change.
