Armenian Whispers

18:00 — 19:00
University of Strathclyde, Glasgow

One hundred years after the horrific events of the Armenian Genocide, people around the world are coming together to read texts by some of the writers involved, to remember them and raise awareness of these events that still aren’t recognised by all nations around the world. Most notably, Turkey still refuses to acknowledge the Armenian Genocide.

Louise Welsh, James Kelman and Drew Campbell will read from “The Book of Whispers” by Varujan Vosganian, which will be followed up by an open discussion.
