Scottish PEN and Flint & Pitch are pleased to present a special evening celebrating the work and creativity of the six groups involved in Scottish PEN’s ‘Many Voices’ project.

Many Voices was Scottish PEN’s 18-month project, bringing together Scottish and international writers to collaborate with marginalised groups and communities across Scotland, exploring through writing and discussion the themes most important to them. The aim of the project is to amplify voices and offer new platforms for stories that are often excluded from the public conversation. The themes explored include issues such as addiction, homelessness, growing up as LGBT young person, life as a refugee, life inside prison and writing in a minority language. This important event celebrates an 18 month project that has inspired, motivated, enthused and challenged all those involved.

The live event on Fri 2nd February, curated and hosted by Flint & Pitch, will feature the five workshop facilitators: Alison Miller, Sarah Short, Karen Campbell, Marjorie Lotfi Gill and Nat Raha and participants from groups across Scotland.

The event is hosted by Jenny Lindsay.

The project is funded by Creative Scotland, and run in partnership with six organisations; Apex Scotland, Fife College working at HMP and YOI Polmont, International Women’s Group Glasgow, LGBT Youth Scotland, Move On and Orkney Library & Archive.

The event is free but ticketed, and spaces are limited.
